The Comica Audio SIG.LAV V05 is an omnidirectional lavalier microphone that lets you record clear and accurate speech directly to your DSLR/mirrorless camera and audio recorder with control over your volume—while monitoring your sound. It can also be used with an iPhone/Android smartphone/tablet that's equipped with a headphone jack.

The cable features an in-line module that houses a volume-adjustment thumbwheel for adjusting the mic's recording levels. A 3.5mm audio output allows you to plug a set of headphones and monitor the mic in real-time. There is also a dedicated switch that toggles between the camera and phone output modes, switching the output of the mic to either 3.5mm TRS or TRRS.

The SIG.LAV V05 features an omnidirectional pickup pattern that captures sound from every direction, allowing for a variety of placement options and freedom of movement—even when the subject turns away from the mic.

The microphone is powered via a CR2032 battery and there is a LED indicator to alert you when the battery is running low. The metal construction offers shielding from radio-frequency noise and a foam windscreen is provided to protect against wind noise.
