The RODE SC6-L is an interface designed to record two-person interviews directly to your iOS device. The interface accepts the inputs of the RODE smartLav+ microphone, multiple types of RODE VideoMics (in conjunction with TRRS adapters), and third-party microphones with the appropriate TRRS connection points.

You'll find two 3.5mm TRRS jacks. These are for your microphones. Between the two TRRS jacks is a 3.5mm headphone output for monitoring the incoming signal. At the other end of the interface you'll see the lightning connector, which routes digital signal into your iOS device. The SC6-L facilitates audio recording at resolutions of 24-bit and sample rates of up to 48 kHz, making it a broadcast-quality unit.

The SC6-L works with the RODE Reporter App. This app allows you to change preamp gain and switch between record modes. You can also turn direct monitoring on or off from the app. Other apps work with the SC6-L such as the onboard Camera app, GarageBand, Voice Memos, and others. The SC6-L is compatible with devices sporting iOS 11 and later
