The Boya BY-BM2040 is a super-cardioid shotgun condenser microphone. It provides a tight pickup area focused directly in front of the microphone, also reducing other surrounding sounds. Its reinforced ABS + carbon fibre construction makes it strong while remaining light at only about 79g, the microphone always keeps your setup super lightweight, making it ideal for handheld shooting.

Freely use the BY-BM2040 anytime without a battery required. Powered by cameras, camcorders, and smartphones, BOYA BY-BM2020 operates without a battery and requires no complicated switches or settings. The BY-BM2040 comes with TRRS as well as TRS audio connector cables, making it compatible with most smartphones, tablets, and DSLR cameras, as well as camcorders with 3.5mm microphone connections. Ideally for vlogging, mobile journalism, live streaming, ASMR recording, etc.
