The Athabasca Ark ND1000 filter is a gray filter, also called ND filter (Neutral Density) with no less than 10 stops of light compensation. This gives you more control over the lighting of your photos. Athabasca filters are known for their quality and this is reflected in the recordings: the filter is completely colour-neutral, so that only the intensity of the light is affected. Colour and contrast remain unaffected. Furthermore, the filter is made of very strong and high-quality German optical glass, namely Schott B270 glass. The glass is finished with an anti-reflective coating on both sides, so reflections are reduced to a minimum. The filter is also equipped with a professional coating which is water-repellent, and stain and scratch resistant. This therefore provides a long service life and makes the filters pleasant to use.
