Getting the highest performance and the longest life from rechargeable batteries depends largely on the quality of the battery charger. Many chargers use a timer to stop the charge cycle, often leading to overcharging and shortened battery life. The Maha Powerex smart chargers use an intelligent microprocessor to analyze the charge and end it when the battery is fully charged to maximize the lifetime of the battery.

The Powerex Travel Charger 1-4 AA/AAA + 12V adaptor allows you to recharge AA and AAA NiMH or NiCD batteries accurately and cooly. Charge time for AA batteries is around 2 hours, AAA batteries charge in around 1 hour. The Unique FLEX negative pulse charging algorithm allows the battery to accept a more complete charge, regardless of the battery’s capacity, allowing for full charging in a range of rechargeable batteries.

Unlike traditional NiMH batteries, the Powerex Pro batteries can be stored for an extended period of time without substantial loss of power and are ready to use out-of-package. A common problem that plagues rechargeable batteries is that they need to be recharged about once every one to three months even if they are not used. This issue was tackled by developing advanced electrode materials to reduce the rate of power loss during storage. As a result, the Powerex PRO batteries retain up to 75% of their charge even after one year of storage.

The Powerex PRO batteries differ from the competition in that they boast higher capacities as well as increased power retention in storage. The Powerex Pro batteries can be recharged hundreds of times and perform extraordinarily well at elevated temperatures. In addition, the Powerex Pro batteries feature a low-impedance design and can deliver a high burst of current.
