Photographers use umbrellas to enhance studio lighting on the subject. Often used for product, portrait and interior photography and video.

Can be used to shoot through or to spread light coverage softening the light while keeping the colour neutral reducing shadows and producing an even, soft, low-contrast light over a large area.Probably one of the more versatile of the umbrellas. Translucent materials allow approximately 50% light transmission.
